A magnificent rooster stands on a large log. Two chicks are playing around him. The rooster and chick look at each other and seem to confirm their affection.
Yoshimori was a pupil of Kuniyoshi from childhood and painted pictures of warriors, current events, flowers, and birds in the style of Kuniyoshi. His other works depicting foreigners touring the city of Edo are rare. He also participated in the collaborative works. He later worked under the name Kosai.
