In 1915, Goyo Hashiguchi produced “Woman in a Bathhouse” for the Watanabe Print Shop. After that, he devoted himself to the study of Ukiyoe beauties and repeatedly had his models pose in the same way to revise and purify his work, which he then combined into a single ink line for printmaking.
