裏面にエディションナンバーのシールが貼付された初摺作品。
川瀬巴水は清方の門人で深水の「近江八景」に影響を受けて版画家に転向する。
巴水は新版画の第一人者として活躍し、約40年にわたる画業のなかで、600点を超える作品を発表した。
「巴水ブルー」と称される青色は巴水の特徴的な色彩で、水や空気を表現したさまざまな青色は、日本人のみならず、スティーブ・ジョブズをはじめとした多くの外国人を魅了している。

In the moonlit night, light leaks from a building, and shadows fall on the feet of a person walking by.
This print has a seal of the edition number on the reverse side.
Kawase Hasui was a pupil of Kiyokata, and he was affected by "The Eight Views of Omi" which was created by Ito Shinsui.
He became one of the most famous Shinhanga artists and left more than 600 artworks over about 40 years.
He preferred to use blue in his works, and it is often called "Hasui Blue". His excellent techniques and expressions have fascinated not only Japanese people but also people from all over the world, for instance, Steve Jobs.
This work depicts a quiet threatening sky of Hasui, who has expressed various magnificent skies.
