当所で山賊に襲われた甲斐の商人であったが、とっさに念仏を唱えたところ、胸のお守りから光が飛び出し、山賊の目を射ったという。
観音霊験記 秩父順礼は、秩父に点在する観音霊場を関連する逸話と共に描いたシリーズ。上部に寺の境内の図が、下部に霊験の逸話が描かれている。

This artwork depicts the story of a merchant from Kai who was attacked by bandits at this place, but when he chanted a Buddhist prayer in a panic, a light came out of the amulet on his chest and shot the bandits in the eyes.
"Amazing Stories of Kannon Temples of Chichibu" is a series of Kannon's sacred temples scattered throughout Chichibu with related anecdotes. The upper picture depicts the temple, and the lower picture depicts anecdotes of spiritual experiences.
