桜咲く春の浅草寺本堂を、二天門の方向から描いた一枚。
広重二代は広重の門人で、当初は重宣と称していた。安政5年に広重が没すると、広重の養女お辰の婿になり、二代目広重を襲名する。広重の「名所江戸百景」にも参加し、全120図の内「赤坂桐畑雨中夕けい」には、「二世広重画」と款している。「市谷八幡」、「上野山下」、「びくにばし雪中」3点の作者も広重二代であるとされる。その後お辰と離別することになり、立祥と号し横浜絵、開化絵などの制作を続けた。

A depiction of the main hall of Senso-ji Temple in spring, with cherry blossoms blooming, seen from the direction of the Niten-mon Gate.
Hiroshige II initially studied under Hiroshige and was known as Shigenobu. After Hiroshige's death in 1858, he married Otatsu, Hiroshige's adopted daughter, and adopted the name Hiroshige II. He contributed to Hiroshige's 'One Hundred Famous Views of Edo,' and the print 'Evening in Rain at Kiribatake, Akasaka,' one of the series' 120 prints, is signed 'Painted by Hiroshige II.' It is also believed that works such as 'Hachiman Shrine in Ichigaya,' 'Ueno Yamashita,' and 'Bikuni Bridge in Snow' were created by Hiroshige II.
Later, he separated from Otatsu and continued producing Yokohama-e and Kaika-e paintings under the name Rissho.
