貞秀は国貞の門人で、美人画、役者絵、横浜絵、開化絵などクオリティの高い作品を多く残しているが、特筆すべきは、鳥瞰による一覧図である。貞秀は、地理に強い関心を持ち、様々な場所を旅して制作にあたった。

A powerful triptych depicting a massive ship. Especially striking is the rendering of the waves—their surging motion and spray are vividly captured, filling the scene with a sense of immediacy. The force of the blowing wind and the heaving sea comes through, overwhelming the viewer.
Sadahide is a disciple of Kunisada.He left behind numerous high-quality works, including Bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women), Yakusha-e (actor prints), Yokohama-e (pictures of Yokohama), and Kaika-e (pictures depicting Westernization). However, his most notable contributions are his bird's-eye-view works. With a keen interest in geography, He traveled extensively to various locations to create his works.
