〈SUMIFUDE｜すみふで〉（鈴木里美）は、日本の文化および精神と、それに並列する他文化とを作品の内に収集し比較することで、文化の相違により生ずる疑問や課題を鑑賞者に投げかけている。
手法は版画だけにとどまらず、デザイン、映像など多岐にわたるが、その中で一貫しているのは、実験と学び、そしてそこから生まれる認識の変化である。各作品の背景やそれに付随する歴史の文脈、問いかけは、お互いの存在があることで伝達手段となりえる〈墨と筆〉からとったというその作家名のように、化学反応を起こすに違いない。

Gallery Commentary
SUMIFUDE" (Satomi Suzuki) collects and compares the culture and spirit of Japan with other cultures that parallel it in her works, and poses the viewer with questions and issues that arise from cultural differences.
Her methods are not limited to printmaking but include design, video, etc. What is consistent among them is experimentation, learning, and the change in perception that results from it. The background of each work, the context of history that accompanies it, and the questions it raises are sure to cause a kind of chemical reaction, just like the artist's name "Sumifude", taken from "Sumi (Ink) and Fude (brush)," that can become a means of communication through the presence of each other.
