底冷えしそうな朝の牛込見附に、うっすらと光が差し込んでゆく。
水面に映り込んだ風景は、簡単なタッチながら見事にその質感を表し、昇り始めた太陽はこの冷たそうな朝の空気を徐々に温めていくようだ。
見附とは、江戸城の外郭につくった城門を橋自体も含めて指す言葉。元々は城門を警護する見張所としての意味を持っていた。

In the chilly morning in Ushigome Mitsuke, the faint morning sun is appearing gradually.
Though the brush touch is simple and rough, the expression of the water texture is wonderful.
The beautiful yellow of the sun looks that it worms the cold air of winter.
"Mitsuke" is the word which means the gate around the Edo castle. It was originally a guard station.
