この作品では、金沢の漁火（いさりび）が描かれている。漁火とは、船に焚いた火によって魚をおびき出して行う漁。
蓮湖は現在は埋め立てにより河北潟となっておりこの風景は大きく変わった。江戸時代の同地域の様子を知ることのできる一枚である。
六十余州名所図会は、広重による日本全国の名所を描いたシリーズ。
全図とも画面は縦長で、前景を大きく描き遠近を強調するなど、斬新な構図がとられている。

This artwork depicts the "Isari-bi". Isari-bi is the fire torch for luring fish at night.
Lake Ren-ko had reclaimed in 1985, and the scenery had been changed. This artwork shows us that this beautiful scenery had certainly existed.
"Famous Places in the 60-Odd Provinces" is a series by Hiroshige depicting famous places throughout Japan.
All of the works are vertically oriented, with innovative compositions such as a large foreground and emphasis on perspective.
