舞子の浜は、神戸市垂水区の明石海峡に面する海岸。対岸に淡路島を望むことができる。
潮風に強い松は海岸線に植えられ、集落を風から守る役割があったという。

「六十余州名所図会」（ろくじゅうよしゅうめいしょずえ）は、広重による日本全国の名所を描いたシリーズ。
全図とも画面は縦長で、前景を大きく描き遠近を強調するなど、斬新な構図がとられている。
