We can see Sadahide's latent talent in the design in the combination of the beautiful patterns of Kimonos of lady and a doll and the stripes on the background.
Sadahide was a pupil of Kunisada. In 1867, when he participated in the Paris Expo, he and Yoshimune were representative of the whole Ukiyo-e artist. He also took first place in the ranking of the best Ukiyo-e artist of 1968.
The specially mentioned his artwork is the attractive bird’s‐eye view, for instance, Yokohama-e. He was also interested in geography and traveled to various places in Japan, and left beautiful artworks.
