When Eisen started creating works, he had drawn women that were similar to the artworks of Eizan, his teacher. After the study as a pupil of Eizan, finally, he started drawing his own style and became to gain a reputation. In his original style, women are six-head figures and have a long torso and unique round-shoulders, and it had a unique fascination.
He depicted female prostitutes of the licensed quarters, for instance, Yoshiwara and Fukagawa. We can see the strong intentions and mystique in the eyes of the ladies, and it fascinated people in Edo. It was because of that the era was in the decadent atmosphere of the end of the Edo-era, and the people also found out the fascinations of momentary beauties.
