鮮やかな車海老を描いた作品。
山村耕花は明治時代から昭和時代にかけて活躍した日本画家、浮世絵師、版画家である。
はじめ月耕に師事し、後に東京美術学校の日本画科を卒業した。
主に歴史風俗をモチーフにした作品を残しているが、役者絵の分野でも名を馳せている。

Yamamura Koka was a Japanese-style painter, ukiyo-e artist, and printmaker who was active from the Meiji era to the Showa era.
He first studied under Gekko, and later graduated from the Department of Japanese Painting at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
His works are mainly based on historical motifs, and he is mainly known for his portrayals of actors.
