岩亀楼は、横浜の居留地の外国人を呼び込む事を目的に作られた遊郭である。
様々な国から訪れた人々が遊郭で酒盛りを楽しんでいる。その様相は絵師が人から聞いたなどした想像で描かれている事が多く、服の形状なども少し着物風であったりと面白い。
芳幾は国芳の門下で、芳年の兄弟子にあたる。国芳が没した後に、芳幾は遊女屋風俗などを描いて幕末から明治初期にかけての浮世絵師の第一人者のひとりとなった。

Ganki-Ro was a brothel built to attract foreigners to the Yokohama Settlement.
People from all over the world enjoy drinking in the brothel.
The clothes and hairstyles of foreign people are often imagined by the painters hearing from other people, and the shapes of the clothes are often a little kimono-like.
Yoshiiku was a pupil of Kuniyoshi and studied with Yoshitoshi. After Kuniyoshi's death, he became one of the leading ukiyo-e artists from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period by depicting the manners and customs of brothels.
