清宮質文（1917 - 1991）は、美術教師、商業デザイナー、そして戦争を経験した後、版画家である父 清宮彬（ひとし）の影響か、本格的に版画やガラス絵を制作し始める。
清宮は自身を表現する際、「表現形式に『絵』という方法をとっている詩人である。」と語っている。
その言葉通り、その静謐で詩情に満ちた画風は、今でも多くの人々の心を魅了してやまない。

After working as an art teacher and commercial designer and experiencing the war, Seimiya Hirobumi (1917 - 1991) began to produce prints and glass paintings, perhaps under the influence of his father, Seimiya Hitoshi, a printmaker.
When describing himself, Seimiya said, "I am a poet who uses the method of 'painting' as a form of expression."
True to his words, his serene and poetic style of prints and paintings fascinates people.
