粂寺弾正は歌舞伎十八番の演目「毛抜」に登場する人物である。
名家の小野家では、文屋豊秀への輿入れを控えた姫が毛の逆立つ原因不明の病気となってしまった。姫の様子を見に来た輿入れ先の家臣、粂寺弾正は、偶然持っていた鉄の毛抜きが踊り出す事に気付き、姫の奇病も婚姻を邪魔する為のからくりと見抜いて、難事件を無事解決する。
（そのからくりとは、婚姻を邪魔する為に天井に潜んでいた忍者の磁石なのであった。）
春章は役者や力士たちを写実的な作風で描き、一世を風靡した。春章の門下では春好、春英、春潮ら人気絵師が活躍し、勝川派は一大勢力を誇った。北斎も最初は春章門下として浮世絵師の仲間入りをしている。

Kumedera Danjo is a character from the Kabuki play "Kenuki," one of the Kabuki Juhachiban, a repertoire of Kabuki plays of 18 classical pieces.
In the Ono family, a princess who was about to marry into the family of Bunya no Toyohide had an unknown illness that caused her hair to stand on end. Danjo, a vassal of the family Bunya, came to see the princess and noticed that the iron hair pliers he was having started dancing. He discovered that the princess's strange illness was someone's trick to prevent the marriage and solved the case.
(The trick was a strong magnet of ninjas lurking in the ceiling to interrupt the marriage.)
Shunsho was a Japanese painter and printmaker in the ukiyo-e style and the leading artist of the Katsukawa school. Shunsho studied under Miyagawa Shunsui, son and student of Miyagawa Choshun, both equally famous and talented ukiyo-e artists. Shunsho is most well known for introducing a new form of actor prints.
