見延山沿いを流れる富士川を背景に、山駕籠が進む。
団扇絵は、その形状からも分かる通り実際に竹の骨に貼られ団扇として使用されていた。図柄の見本帖として綴じられていたものが稀に現在も良い状態で残っている。
広重二代は広重の門人で、当初は重宣と称していた。安政5年に広重が没すると、広重の養女お辰の婿になり、二代目広重を襲名する。広重の「名所江戸百景」にも参加し、全120図の内「赤坂桐畑雨中夕けい」には、「二世広重画」と款している。「市谷八幡」、「上野山下」、「びくにばし雪中」3点の作者も広重二代であるとされる。その後お辰と離別することになり、立祥と号し横浜絵、開化絵などの制作を続けた。

As can be seen from its shape, the 'Uchiwa-e,' translated as 'fan print', was actually pasted to a bamboo structure and used as an uchiwa fan. Rarely, the print which was bounden in books as sample designs still left in good condition, like this.
Hiroshige II was a student of Hiroshige and was initially called Shigenobu, but after Hiroshige died in 1858, he became the son-in-law of Hiroshige's adopted daughter, Otatsu, and became Hiroshige II. He participated in Hiroshige's "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" and "Evening in Rain at Kiribatake, Akasaka," one of the 120 prints in the series, is inscribed with the inscription "Painted by HiroshigeⅡ." It is also assumed that "Hachiman Shrine in Ichigaya," "Ueno Yamashita," and "Bikuni Bridge in Snow" were also created by Hiroshige II.
Later, he separated from Otatsu and continued producing Yokohama-e and Kaika-e paintings under Rissho.
