歌舞伎演目《双蝶々曲輪日記（ふたつちょうちょう くるわにっき）》の一場面を描いた作品である。
素人力士の放駒長吉と力士の濡髪長五郎の角力場の場面を、火消しの喧嘩と組み合わせ描いている。
国貞二代は国貞の門下で、嘉永3年には国政二代と称したが、嘉永5年の時には国貞二代と落款する。元治元年に豊国三代が没すると、その後の明治3年頃から豊国四代を名乗った。

This work depicts a scene from the Kabuki play "Futatsu Choucho Kuruwa Nikki."
It depicts a scene between amateur sumo wrestler Hanaregoma no Chokichi and sumo wrestler Nuregami Chogoro in the scene of the sumo wrestling match, combined with a fight between firefighters.
KunisadaⅡ is a pupil of Kunisada and took the name KunimasaⅡ in 1850. However, in 1852, the name was written down as KunisadaⅡ. When Toyokuni III died in 1864, he took the name Toyokuni IV around 1870.
