一景は広重の門人といわれるが、広景の後名という説もある。作画期は明治3年から明治7年までと短く、早世したと見られる。明治時代初期の風俗、風景を多く描いた。
現在も港区にある愛宕山は標高25.7mと23区内で一番高い山とされ、山頂には愛宕神社がある。一景の描いた通り、正面真っ直ぐに伸びる男坂、右手に緩やかに続く女坂と呼ばれる石段が今も変わらず見られる。

Ikkei is considered a student of Hiroshige, but there is also a theory that he is the same person as Hirokage. His painting period was short, from 1801 to 1874, and it is considered that he died young. He painted many genre scenes and landscapes of the early Meiji period.
Mt. Atago, which is still located in Minato Ward, is the highest mountain in the 23 wards of Tokyo at 25.7 meters above sea level and has Atago Shrine at its summit. As depicted by Ikkei, the stone steps called "Otoko-saka" (men's slope) leading straight ahead and "Onna-saka" (women's slope) leading gently to the right can still be seen today.
