古邨の名の時代に制作された作品は色彩の派手さはないが、それがむしろ上品な風情を醸している。
近年、日本での人気が急上昇しつつある古邨（1877-1945）。そのずば抜けた観察眼と描写力によって描かれる花鳥画は、江戸時代の浮世絵と同じように、海外で美術的価値が高まったのちに日本でも評価されるようになった。版元によって古邨、祥邨、豊邨と三種の画号を使い分けている。

These eyes and techniques are very high, however, he was a little-known artist in Japan. The reputation in Japan boomed after the reputation grew in foreign countries, like the situation of Ukiyo-e.
