Pieter Irwin Brown (1903 - 88) was born to a Dutch father and Irish mother. After studying interior decorating and stained glass design, he served an apprenticeship in an architect's studio before entering the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. Perhaps the comfortable orderliness characteristic of Brown's work can be attributed to this background. The captured architecture is beautifully enhanced by the striking compositions and the soft but sure lines. Shopping Guide & Information of the Japanese Prints
