清原啓子（1955 - 1987）は、その精緻な表現と、人々の心を揺さぶる神秘的な作風によって将来を期待されつつも、わずか31歳という若さで夭折した銅版画家である。久生十蘭、埴谷雄高、三島由紀夫などをはじめとする神秘的、耽美的な文学を愛した清原の作品には、その真髄に触れたような独自の世界の物語が広がり、浸食し、奥深く根付いているように思える。短い生涯で残した作品はわずか30点で、2017年には、没後30年に際し八王子市夢美術館にて展覧会が開催され、話題を呼んだ。

Kiyohara Keiko (1955 - 1987) was a copperplate print artist who, despite being anticipated for a promising future due to her intricate expression and captivating mystical style, tragically passed away at the young age of 31. Inspired by aesthetic literature such as works by Hisao Juran, Haniya Yutaka, and Mishima Yukio, Kiyohara's works seem to unfold, erode, and deeply root stories of her unique world that touched the essence of those literary works. She left behind only about 30 works in her short life. In 2017, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of her passing, an exhibition was held at the Yume Art Museum in Hachioji City, attracting attention.
