安政6年（1859年）、長きにわたる鎖国を終えて開港された横浜港。町は活気にあふれ、様々な商売を行う人々が集った。掲載作品には、横浜本町4丁目あたりが描かれている。左図に描かれている「三」の文字の店は、幕府から要請を受けて横浜店を開店した三井越後屋（現在の三越）である。賑わいを見せる通りでは、様々な出来事がまき起こり、歩みを進める人々もどこか楽しそうに見える。
貞秀は国貞の門人で、美人画、役者絵、横浜絵、開化絵などクオリティの高い作品を多く残しているが、特筆すべきは、鳥瞰による一覧図である。貞秀は、地理に強い関心を持ち、様々な場所を旅して制作にあたった。

The town of Yokohama is bustling with energy, with people engaged in various trades and activities. The artwork captures the area around Honcho 4-chome in Yokohama. The store marked with the character "三" (San) in the left panel is Mitsui Echigoya (now known as Mitsukoshi), which opened its Yokohama branch at the request of the shogunate. The lively street is filled with various events, and the people moving along seem to be enjoying themselves.
Sadahide is a disciple of Kunisada.
He left behind numerous high-quality works, including Bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women), Yakusha-e (actor prints), Yokohama-e (pictures of Yokohama), and Kaika-e (pictures depicting Westernization). However, his most notable contributions are his bird's-eye-view works. With a keen interest in geography, He traveled extensively to various locations to create his works.
