Kuchi-e is an unobtrusive appendix to a storybook, yet its quality is extremely high. The delicate lines are as attractive as those of Ukiyo-e.
Keishu began drawing illustrations in newspapers and magazines as a member of Kenyusha, and it was said that Keishu's illustrations were indispensable for Ozaki Koyo's novels.
