国安は初代豊国の門人で「国丸」「国直」と共に豊国門人三羽烏と称され、中でも国安がその第一人者であった。
読本、合巻本の挿絵は多く描いているようだが、天保3年に39歳の若さで病死したために浮世絵作品はそれほど多く残されていない。

KuniYasu was a student of the first Toyokuni and, along with Kunimaru and Kuninao, was known as one of the “Three Crows” of the Toyokuni school—with KuniYasu regarded as the foremost among them.
He created numerous illustrations for books, but due to his untimely death from illness in 1832 (Tenpō 3) at the age of 39, relatively few of his ukiyo-e prints remain.
