ストーリー
猫は生まれてすぐ母と離された。そのせいか毛布を見ると心の奥がツンとするような感覚と懐かしさがあって、それを逃さぬようにそわそわと手を動かしてしまう。頭の中の昔の記憶。母の輪郭を追いかけるように、手元をせっせと動かした。手元を動かしている時間は、母の温かな腹の中に包まれているような安心感を得られた。それを見ていた人間は、ある日猫にクッキー生地を与えた。

ディレクターコメント
人間の周囲の生き物と人間の関係を主なモチーフとして、シルクスクリーンやドローイング作品を制作している市川。ユーモアに富んだ作品は単なる風刺画ではなく、現代に生きる我々人間の矛盾や滑稽さがある種の慈しみを持って描きだされている。人間に翻弄される生き物たちに対して生まれる奇妙な笑いとすこしの罪悪感、そしてそこに確かにある愛情。メディアとして用いられた版画に隠されたメッセージを読み解くのも面白い。
Story
The cat was separated from his mother soon after he was born. When he sees the blanket, he feels a tingling sensation in the back of his mind and a sense of nostalgia, and he fidgets with his hands, trying not to miss it. It was an old memory in his head. He moved his hand impatiently as if he was trying to trace the outline of his mother. The time he spent moving his hands gave him a sense of security as if he was wrapped in the warmth of his mother's belly. One day, a human who had seen this gave him some cookie dough.
